Our Story

A Mustard Seed Ministry began with a question: what does it look like to obey God fully, even when the path is uncertain?

For the Peaks, that question led to El Salvador. Not as tourists, not for a two-week trip, but as a family willing to learn, listen, and serve over the long haul. In December, the ministry will launch its first trip — the Launch Pad Mission Trip — partnering with a local church and children’s school program to begin building those relationships on the ground.

We are a small ministry. We have no illusions about that. But we serve a God who specializes in doing extraordinary things through ordinary people who simply say yes.

What We Believe

A Mustard Seed Ministry is built on the conviction that the Great Commission is not optional and that the local church — wherever it is planted — is God’s primary instrument for transformation. We believe God equips His people with specific talents and experiences not by accident, but for His purposes. Our calling is to bring those gifts to bear — showing the love of Christ to children, teaching them practical skills for life, and walking alongside them into a deeper understanding of who He is. We are committed to serving in a way that strengthens local believers, respects the culture, and points always to Christ.

What We’re Doing

Currently, the ministry is in its founding stage — establishing governance, building a donor base, and preparing for the first phase of work in El Salvador. In December, we will make our Launch Pad Mission Trip, partnering with a local church and children’s school program. Future plans include ongoing presence and support, deeper partnerships with local Salvadoran churches, and equipping other believers for cross-cultural ministry.
